Welcome to our website. We hope that you find it interesting and informative. Nottingham Girls’ High School is a friendly, welcoming school which provides a secure and supportive environment for learning.

Pupils are encouraged to think creatively, to question, to set themselves high standards and to work hard to achieve their goals. We place great emphasis on personal and social values, consideration for others, self discipline and resourcefulness.

Although our examination results are among the best in the country, we believe that education for life involves much more. Leadership, confidence, teamwork, flexibility and reliability are among the qualities increasingly demanded in today’s ever changing society. Everyone is encouraged to take the opportunity to participate fully in a wide range of extra curricular activities to develop skills and qualities that will lead to a happy, successful and fulfilling life.

Close links between home and school are vital for success and we work in partnership to ensure that every girl can make the most of her talents and opportunities. Choosing the right school for your daughter is one of the most important decisions you have to make as a parent.
