Carol Stanford and Trisha Diane have been working on a venue for an annual show and gallery night. Trisha reported that we can have a space at the Times Ten Wine Cellar located on Foch Street, Fort Worth. Gallery Night will be on September 10th. Details to follow.

The demo for the evening was given by Glenna Wooten on sterling silver and how to make your own earwires, soldering a jumpring, and constructing a simple bezel setting.

JULY 2011 MEETING MINUTES
The meeting was called to order by Phylis Vaughn, President at 6:00 pm. We have a new member, Michelle Nations. Visitors for the evening included Karla Tamada and Peg Surbur.
Announcements and Discussion:
“Kudos” to Shirley Hand for the excellent job of getting the membership directories printed. The printing was done by Alpha Graphics on 28# punched paper for a cost of $522.94 ($6.00 per book). TGAA purchased 75 copies for the current and future membership.
The new TGAA Picture Membership Directory notebooks were distributed. Notebooks will be given to new members. Kathy Barnett made a motion to take money to pay for the book from the dues for membership. If not book is needed, the money goes back to TGAA. Tina Bush seconded and the motion passed.
Please remember to put your phones on vibrate during the meeting. As a courtesy to our members, if necessary to take a call, please do so outside.

Chairs have been purchased and you are using them now. A person is needed to commit to arriving 20 minutes early to set up chairs for the meeting and also to put them up after each meeting.
Charity projects discussed for the year include donations for the Tarrant Area Food Bank and also participation in the Empty Bowls project. Shirley Hand motioned to approve both projects and Trudy Jauquet seconded. The motion passed. Debbie Savage volunteered to collect and deliver food bank donations.
TGAA T-Shirts are available for purchase at $10.00 each.
Vernelle Blue shared information with the group regarding the “Senior Citizen’s Fair Fort Worth 2011” held at Will Rogers. Participants must be 55 or older. In the past a $20.00 fee was charged for a booth. Artwork is set up by the participant but sold by the Senior Citizen’s Fair. 5% of profits are paid to Will Rogers. The Senior Citizen’s Fair Fort Worth 2011 for more details regarding the event.

Clifton gave a report on the SiNaCa Gala at Neiman Marcus. He also thanked SiNaCa for the Mace Adams Memorial in the amount of $50.00.
A quote to purchase chairs (tubular steel; folds flat) from Walmart was presented. Cost is $9.50 per chair. A motion to purchase twelve chairs was made by Kathy Barnett and seconded by Shirley Hand. The motion passed.

APRIL 2011 MEETING MINUTES
The meeting was called to order by Phylis Vaughn, President. Four visitors were in attendance for the meeting. A motion was made and passed to accept the March minutes.
The upcoming Spring Arts Goggle will be held at Quarles again this year. Refreshments for the goggle will consist of wine and water only, no food items. After discussion to present a $100.00 gift certificate to Jeff, salesperson from Quarles, was discussed, a motion was made, seconded, and passed to do so. Questions regarding the Arts Goggle can be addressed to Carol Stanford.
Members were reminded to sign up to provide refreshments for the monthly meetings. Members may either choose to bring refreshments or contribute $10.00 for Pat Donaldson and Wendy Coleman to purchase refreshments. Members were also asked to contribute to the drink fund to replenish Merry-Go-Round’s supply.
Scott Peterson and Drew Perez-Tubens are working on an outing to SiNaCa.
Phylis Vaughn gave a report on the Officers Meeting held Sunday, March 27th. Lots of exciting programs are being planned. Responsibilities of the Ethics Chairman were discussed. Trudy Jauquet will report at the next meeting. The By-Laws Reconstruction group will be meeting soon.
The nomination committee is being formed to begin working on the new slate of officers for next year.
Officers recommended purchase of chairs for Merry-Go-Round for use at the meetings. The recommendation was discussed and was decided that a quote should be obtained and presented at the next meeting.
A charity project for the year was discussed. A motion was made, seconded and passed to contribute to the Tarrant County Food Bank as an on-going charity each year. The Empty Bowls charity was also discussed for 2012 to allow members wishing to contribute to plan their work now.
Phylis is working on the Picture Directory. Format will be a small notebook with each person having a full page. Deadline for changes and new submissions for the directory is by next month.
